Park Information and Rules
Speed limit
The speed limit throughout the park and entranceway is 10kph (walking pace only). The safety of our guests is of prime importance, any driver exceeding this speed limit will be obliged to leave their car outside the boom gates. Give way to pedestrians & cyclists.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted within any Community Building, the Reception or Shop area, or within 4 metres of such buildings and not within 10 metres of recreational facilities used by children. No Smoking within cabins. We ask all guests on sites to be considerate of neighbours when smoking outside their dwelling, to ensure that smoke does not impose on other guests.
Parking of Vehicles
Only one vehicle per site is permitted. Extra boats or trailers are to be registered at Reception and parked as directed. A fee may apply. All other vehicles including Visitors to remain outside park grounds. No maintenance on your car is permitted on site.
Boom Gates
The boom gates are for your security. Please do not allow others to use your pin code or key card upon entry and exit from the park. Tail gating is not permitted. Tags or pin numbers must be used upon entry and exit.
Pool
Children under 12 years using the pool must be supervised by a responsible adult, over 16 years of age, from within the pool fence. For safety reasons; No bombing, back flipping, diving, running, skylarking or aggressive behaviour is permitted in the pool area. No balls, boards or glass are permitted in the pool area. Visitors wishing to use the pool will incur a small fee and is payable at Reception prior to entry.
Skateboards, Hoverboards & Electric scooters
No skateboards, hoverboards or electric scooters permitted within the park.
Bikes, Rollerblades, Ripstiks & Scooters:
Helmets must be worn when riding bikes, scooters, Ripstiks & rollerblades. Bikes etc. are not to be ridden between dusk & 8.00am. They should not be ridden in the vicinity of the amenities building, campers’ kitchen, shop, and boom gate or reception areas. Bike licences are applicable for children up to 16 years – See Reception for details. We recommend locking up bikes or scooters when not in use.
Photocopying, scanning, emailing & Printing
Available at Reception for a small fee.
Mobile Reception
Mobile reception throughout the park is patchy, better Reception can be sometimes found opposite the Reception.
Kids Zone & Jumping Pillow
Available for use only from: 8.00am to 8.00pm (Sept to Apr) 8.00am to 7.00pm (May to Aug)
We recommend supervision of children under 8 at all times and for children under 12 using the Jumping Pillow. Jumping Pillow is subject to closure when wet. Specific Jumping Pillow and Playground rules apply.
Ball Games
A ball toss is available in playground. Basket & Volley Balls are available at Reception with a $10 refundable deposit. No other ball games are to be played within the park or on park roads. We suggest the use of the soccer fields across Skennars Head Road.
Parents
Parents remain responsible for the conduct of their own children. Children must not be left in the park unattended.
Noise Disturbances and Security
Noise must be kept to a minimum at all times. Quietness between 10pm & 8am will ensure that everyone enjoys their stay.
Management are contactable 24 hours on 6687 7450, or there is an emergency button at the front of Reception.
All emergency services have 24 hour access to the park. Be security conscious; please lock up when leaving your accommodation and secure eskies, bikes and personal equipment.
No Party Policy
BIG4 Ballina Headlands Holiday Park has a strict no party policy. Party being defined as (but not limited to) excessive noise, disturbing of other guests, use of drugs, excessive intake of alcohol, guests exceeding the maximum room numbers, excessive traffic to and from the room.
BIG4 Ballina Headlands reserves the right to evict the registered guest/s and all other occupants immediately from the premises with no refund given and further loss or monies for damages. Any illegal activity will be reported directly to the Police.
Management will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse on the premises at all and guests will be asked to leave if the behaviour is deemed inappropriate.
Hire Equipment
Cots, highchairs and extra linen can be obtained from Reception for a small fee, subject to availability. Selections of DVD’s are for hire at kiosk. Board games are also available to borrow from kiosk subject to a $10 refundable deposit payable.
The park offers pedal kart hire for children on an hourly basis. Bookings are recommended and can be made at Reception
Your Cabin
Our accommodation is not serviced; in order to maintain low tariffs please ensure that your cabin is left in a satisfactory condition upon departure. We ask that you please wash and dry all dishes, and remove rubbish prior to departure.

Maintenance
If you notice a maintenance problem or safety issue throughout your stay, please feel free to report it to Reception and we will attend to the job as soon as possible. No car maintenance is permitted.
Pets and Wildlife
For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted in the park. Registered Assistance Animals are an exception.
We recommend not feeding the native wildlife, which includes water dragons, water hens, lorikeets and Kookaburras.
Power Leads
When required for caravans, 15 amp power leads must be used and should be a minimum of 10 metres in length.
Garbage & Recycling & Dump point
Wheelie bins can be found at several locations around the park. A rubbish centre is provided for your use, on the north side of the amenities building and north side of pool. Dump point is located near bins in front of Amenities block.
Camp Kitchen
The kitchen is available for all guests to use, including the free BBQ’s. We ask that you leave the equipment in the same condition that you would like to find it and remove all rubbish. Personal items, food boxes and eskies should be stored on your own site.
The camp kitchen provides cooktops, an oven and a microwave and fridge, kitchen sinks and toasters and kettles. All other equipment shall be required to be provided by guests.
Mail & Messages
Please see noticeboard located outside Reception. Outgoing mail can be left in mail box located outside Reception.
TV/Games Room
Open 8.30am to 9.30pm.
An adult must accompany children under 8 years. No food or drink. Change available for games during shop hours. During School holidays movie times are displayed on board outside Games Room during holidays.
G or PG movies upon request at agreed times outside school holidays. Big screen Digital TV.
Internet
Wifi is available throughout the park, see Reception for details. Limits and restrictions do apply
CCTV Cameras
CCTV cameras are in place throughout the park for the purpose of an Incident Risk management tool, for a copy of our CCTV Cameras Policy please see Reception or email info@ballinaheadlands.com.au
A 24-hour CCTV surveillance system operates within BIG4 Ballina Headlands Holiday park to assist us in providing a safe physical environment for our guests. By entering the premises, you, your guests, including children, and visitors of the park, agree to be monitored by CCTV surveillance in a manner that conforms to our CCTV Camera Policy, which considers all privacy principles.eme
Bunk Beds
Australian Standards relate to the use of bunk beds and state that:
"Children under the age of 9 years are not permitted to use the top bunk. Also children must not play on the top bunk."
Emergency and evacuation plan
Please see park map for evacuation points, staff members will then advise you what to do in the event of an emergency.
Emergency and evacuation maps are located throughout the park and are provided on check-in. In the event of an emergency please make your way to the closest evacuation point, if safe. Staff will be on hand to assist. In the event of a health emergency, please ring 000 immediately. An emergency defibrillator is located at Park Reception.
All community buildings have emergency floor plans within.
